Thank you for a fantastic trip, what a stunning find above the harbour in Portloe! There was almost nowhere open along this stretch of coast path this January, what a bonus that this place is also exceptional. In particular the staff were fantastic, we had a wonderful welcome by Alison and everyone made us feel very welcome. Lovely log fire, games, well stocked bar, and a breakfast view to remember!

We have stayed in many hotels since our retirement, this was the best. The room was lovely tastefully decorated, clean and every comfort thought of, even a hot water bottle in the bed. Food was lovely, only complaint bacon very overcooked.

Booked in for a meal, we weren't residents, lovely food, friendly staff (especially Will and Christina (?)), very welcoming, only criticism could do with a bit more veg to accompany the main courses. Would recommend if you want a dining experience in a great location, even in early February the views from the restaurant are great.

What an amazing place, a very cosy upmarket boutique hotel in a rural coastal village of Portloe on the South coast of Cornwall. The food was exquisite and locally sourced and seasonal. The rooms were delightful, comfortable and had everything you might need. The staff were very helpful and professional, in particular the receptionist Alison, who literally went out of her way to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend for a couples weekend or few nights Away.
